Stating it clearly, if you are region banned from a private region and Dream Seeker Estates did not issue the ban, we will not interfere. You will need to discuss the ban with the tenant for the region that banned you. They have full rights to decide who does and does not have the privilege to access their region. However, if you are banned by Dream Seeker Estates, depending on why you were banned we may remove the ban at our discretion. This also applies if you have been region banned from a Dream Seeker Estates shared region(s).
How bans are issued
In general there are 4 main reasons for being banned. You likely fall under one of these and depending on severity, it may be permanent.
1. Fraud / Scams
If you are banned for this reason it's very unlikely you will be considered for removal. We take fraud and scamming very seriously and we will not hesitate to submit abuse reports where necessary to protect the general Second Life population.
2. Griefing / Harassment
Griefing is a very broad category ranging from accidental to intentionally targeting a specific region and/or group/individual. For example: accidentally rezzing a griefer item once may not even result in being banned. Just like a dispute between residents may result in a ban depending on the context and situation. Rezing items to crash a region or disrupt resident usage, even if as a joke, may result in being banned for intentionally degrading region performance.
Harassment against a tenant may result in a region ban depending on the severity. Our tenants come first and if you are causing them distress you will be forcefully removed. If the issue persists after being banned we will not hesitate to submit an abuse report as well as instruct the tenant on how to as well.
3. Staff / Estate Abuse
Abuse towards staff or against the estate will not be tolerated. Everyone involved is an adult. We understand that tempers can get heated in some situations. In order to get banned under this category you must have repeatedly demonstrated your inability to discuss an issue as an adult. We will not subject our staff to this type of abuse and will swiftly issue a ban across the entire estate. Depending on severity, we may also issue a harassment abuse report with Linden Lab.
4. Bot usage
Gaming traffic with multiple bots that do nothing but stand on a parcel may result in having the bots banned. Just like Linden Lab's own Bot Policy, we do not support the attempt at gaming parcel traffic by usage of bots.
Bots that roam through the estate for one reason or another may be banned just to prevent them from being a nuisance to tenants. If you have a legitimate reason for this type of usage, please check the appeals process.
Duration of a ban
As previously mentioned, depending on the reason for the ban, it may be permanent. Generally, bans last for one year. However, that is a loose rule and we are under no obligation to process the removal in a timely manner.
Appealing your ban
Everyone is entitled to try and appeal their ban. Just understand we are under no obligation to restore your access to the estate. In all cases, you are fully aware of why you were banned. Please do not try and play ignorant if you know why you were banned as we will instantly deny your appeal. We prefer honesty over ignorance. Appeals are for second chances and correcting mistakes.
