You’ve made a payment to your box, or to someone else’s box, and it isn’t showing up. What do you do now? First thing’s first; collect the necessary information in the off chance you need to reach out to us.
Every payment made to a box provides a Casper transaction link. Save this if you notice an issue. This not only provides you with the ability to keep an eye on the transaction but it also serves to show us where the issue has occurred. These transaction links look like this:
Tierbox: Thanks for your payment! Your transactionID is: ________________ - please quote this if you have any problems with your transaction. You can check the status of your transaction here: https://status.casperdns.com/?transaction=________________
With that saved the next thing you want to check is your Second Life transactions which can be viewed here: https://accounts.secondlife.com/transaction_history/. Now find the transaction paid to your box. It will have the destination as Vault DreamSeeker. Save this! Just in case, of course.
The first few things to try are quite simple and may resolve the issue.
- Sometimes it may take up to 5 minutes to credit. While most transactions are completed within 60 seconds, sometimes, especially during high traffic periods, it may be slightly delayed.
- Did you make a payment for someone else? If so, check if you have a dialog box asking you if you wish to credit their lease. Clicking 'YES' or 'NO' may move the transaction forward.
- Try clicking the box itself. No, really. Casper boxes like to go into an idle state and simply paying them may not be enough to shake them out of their slumber. This could be a Casper issue or a Second Life issue but clicking them resolves ~80% of all payment issues.
- Did you pay the correct box? Accidents happen. Check your transaction histories. If you paid the wrong box we can absolutely resolve it.
